Andrew ‘Slovs’ Zubov

Team: New York Rangers

NY_RangersIt is believed that Andy Z has purchased a burial site next to Rangers Center Mark Messier just outside of Long Island. Simply stated….he is a Ranger. Known for his cheap ‘cut in front of the crease goal’, Andy is probably the most consistent player throughout the years. A belt holder in the late 1990’s and again in 2002 Andy has competed at the highest level ever since the beginning of time. Since structured tournament play erupted in 2004, Andy has yet to finish outside the final four in any tournament.

zAndy is a player who analyses his opponent completely before the competition begins. Kind of like Ace Rothstein in the movie Casino, Andy will know if his opponent has had too many Jaeger Bombs, if his thumbs are hurting, if he has hemorrhoids, or if his girlfriend just dumped him. He will use this information to his advantage as the competition wages on.

Whether it’s Messier, Graves, or the Ex-Badger Richter, Andy and the New York Rangers are always going to give you trouble….just do your best to try to distract him and you may stand a chance.

One thing Andy will always be remembered for is bringing the Belt back to Minnesota after Lewis ran off with it to Chi-Town.
