travisIn the late 1960’s John Wayne starred in a movie dubbed ‘The Quiet Man”. When it comes to Sega NHL hockey that Quiet Man is Travis Knutson. But as in the movie, the Quiet Man packs a punch on the ice. It is true that Travis fell to arch rival Grant Krejci 4-0, but that is after a stretch of play in Segathon 2004 that left Travis broken hearted. In search a major upset Travis battled his way through the losers Bracket beating roommates Brandon 2-1, and Nick 6-5. If not for a fluke goal and a 2-1 OT loss to Blair in the semi’s Travis would be on his way to the Final 4!

Undoubtedly the most consistent person when it comes to throwing rocks at the local bowling alley, however that consistency does not extend to his NHL95 play. Travis tends to play to his opponents level. If he can shake that tendency he will definitely be a force to be reckoned with.

Although no trophy as of yet, Travis has laid claim to records in many events. In 3 of the past 4 tournaments Travis has been credited with telling the Longest, Most Idiotically Stupid or Plain Out Boring Story. Combined, his story telling has cost other players over 1.2 hrs of sanity. We anxiously await the next fictional, or non-fictional, story from this seasoned veteran.
